Why businesses need to help to address the biodiversity crisis
Pete Brotherton is the Director of Science at Natural England, in addition to being the Lead Director for Climate Change with responsibility for 200 scientific specialists.
Pete has published widely and is an experienced presenter to audiences ranging from COP26 to local groups. He was scientific advisor on the England Biodiversity Strategy, Biodiversity 2020, led the secretariat of the influential Lawton review and was lead author of Nature Positive 2030, a joint publication of the UK statutory nature agencies.
He has championed and led significant innovations in UK conservation, including approaches to nature recovery networks and the introduction of eDNA techniques.
