Nature Positive Buildings
Buildings are the foundation of modern life. They provide us with safety and shelter, but this comes at an environmental cost – the Buildings and Construction Sector is responsible for 37% of global emissions. While the scale of this problem is staggering, it also presents a clear opportunity for us to decarbonise the built environment.
Net Zero may not be enough; in fact, it may have become a loaded term. Instead, we can strive for Nature Positive buildings that enhance the ecosystems they depend on.
What will it take to construct a sustainable future? We have the insight and technology to achieve our goals, the challenge is to measure and finance an accelerated transition.
